Hi there, I'm Lauren!

I'm the photographer behind Velvet Flame Photography, but I'm so much more than that. Photography has been my career for over 16 years, but more importantly, it's become the way I help people see themselves differently. I've had the privilege of working with incredible people from all walks of life: couples celebrating one of the biggest days of their lives, graduates honoring years of hard work, families wanting just a few more photos before time steals another chapter away, and boudoir clients who have spent far too long believing they weren't enough.

Every session is personal. It's an opportunity to celebrate who you are and, sometimes, discover a version of yourself you didn't know was there. Those moments are why I picked up a camera in the first place. I've never believed photography should be about fitting into someone else's idea of beautiful. I believe it's about embracing the things that make you uniquely you. The "imperfections." The quirks. The stories written into every scar, every tattoo, every laugh line, every hobby, every dream.

 

My sessions are for the people who've spent their lives feeling "too much," "a little different," or "kind of weird."

I'll guide you through every step so you can stop worrying about looking awkward and start enjoying the experience. My goal isn't just to create beautiful photographs. It's to help you leave with a little more confidence than you arrived with.
