Wedding, elopement and event photography by Velvet Flame is for those who want their special memories captured honestly: the emotion, the tension, the softness, the chaos, the quiet moments in between.

I approach weddings with an editorial eye and a documentary heart. I’m there for the big, cinematic moments and the fleeting ones you didn’t even realize were happening: the nervous hands, the stolen glances, the deep breath before walking down the aisle. Nothing is forced. Nothing is overly posed. Just you, as you are.

Velvet Flame is a queer-owned, LGBTQ+ affirming photography business, and I proudly photograph love in ALL of its forms. Whether your wedding is moody and intimate, wild and unconventional, or beautifully understated, my goal is to create images that feel timeless, emotional, and deeply personal, not trendy for a season, but meaningful for a lifetime.

If you want wedding photos that feel less like a performance and more like a lived experience, you’re in the right place.

"We wanted an engagement shoot, but were tight on money. She worked with us, made both of us comfortable (we're awkward so having photos taken of us makes us weird), and delivered incredible photos that we absolutely LOVE! We've even booked her for our wedding in 2024 because we love her and her photos so much! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!!"

"Lauren is INCREDIBLE! I have never liked having my photo taken, but when she shot our engagement and wedding photos I felt so comfortable and actually had fun. Enough so that I recently did a boudoir shoot with her. And y'all, any nerves I had flew out the window in a matter of seconds. She made me feel so confident and fabulous. She is officially the only photographer I will use. And the icing on the cake is that she is just an amazing and wonderful human being. I can't sing her praises enough!!"

"Lauren is fantastic to work with. She answered all our questions before the wedding. And the day of...just wow. I don't think the camera ever stopped. And her eye for the perfect shot. Chefs kiss"
